M-Tech of Bridgewater assisted the DIY SOS team to transform the lives of one family from Weston-super-Mare. Nick Knowles and his DIY SOS team descended on the seaside resort and reached out to local trades for support. Electrical contractors, M-Tech were one of the first to volunteer their time and expertise to help transform the home of Chris and Cat sweet and their 3 disabled children.
Matt led all of the electrical design and installation work on the project after volunteering his company's services at a registration event earlier in the year.
Matt said: "It was tough as it involved nine straight days, but it was such an amazing project to be part of. There was a bit of pressure to get it done in time, but everyone got involved and there was such a good buzz on-site".
"Normally on a project like that, the trades would all come in at different times and you might not see each other. So it was interesting to see the whole process from start to finish, and everyone working in conjunction. It was great to give something back and a really rewarding thing to be part of".
The Weston-super-Mare DIY SOS build is due to air on BBC1 later this year.
